Install on pc with Windows ME ??

Yes - anything 98 compatible should work on ME (being its successor). Remember to have System Restore enabled before you install just in case everything goes t!ts-up.

I have used package and deploy to create an install disk from Visual basic code. Had some grief testing the CD due to issues with ntdll.dll (caused install to freeze) so I thought "Sod it" if NTDLL.DLL causes the install to hang I will take it out of the package altogether and see if that works !
Repackaged and created install exe - Tested on pc running nt4.0 and it installed fine. Bod on PC running ME tried install and it bombed out. - Bit out of my area of xpertise is this !!
Boss is looking at me with an increasingly red face

TBH, mate - I don't know. Is there an alternative DLL that's appropriate for ME (to choose when creating the package)? I'd imagine that you'd bundle DLLs for any target O/S and the installer would choose the correct ones depending on the environment it's running in.

Situation is that the install is being expected to work on machines running 95/98/ME/NT/2000 and XP
I've only got NT and 98 pc's to test on.
Is anyone out there a GURU who knows what SHOULD and perhaps more importantly what should NOT be included in the package / deploy process re dlls ??
I'm looking at the door !!
