Spyware !
#1
Folks
How can I tell if I have "spyware" running on my computer? Just had a pop-up window appear in Windows XP suggesting I check out a website. Sounds like spyware to me?
Any opinions?
Running the very latest virus defs & ZoneAlarm.
Is there some software I can download to check?
thanks
Neil

I thought Lavasoft had stopped supporting Ad-aware???
the definitions are quite old now, but should still clear up a lot of the spyware that's on the average 'infected' system.

Yep, comes with Grokster and other proggies.
Before you download any of those ever so enticing programs check Tom Cat's Spyware site so you know what you are getting yourself into (or not)...and run Ad-Aware after installing anything you remotely suspect to be a bit dodgy.
