PS2

Right, I have a couple of hours left to buy another present for the wife (which I will benefit from of course!!).
I have about £200-£250 to spend and I want a Play Station 2. The games I would like to start out is James Bond Agent Under Fire and some sort of rally game (Colin McCrae Rally or the like).
Can I walk into Toys R Us, or Dixons or whatever and just ask for the PS2 and those games or do I need all sorts of bolt on's like steering wheel, gun, additional handsets etc.
Confused and out of date Scooby Snacks!!
Thanks all (and happy Crimbo).

You probably want a memory card too - they don't come with the package and you need one to save your progress otherwise you always have to start back at the beginning..........

Most the shops will have some sort of package at the money you have to spend.
Make sure you get:
1) the console!! which will come with a controller
2) a memory card - so you can save your games
3) additional controller, if other people are playing as well
4) RGB/SCART lead as the picture quality is better
5) GAMES!!!
Worth getting:
Tekken 4 (although Tekken Tag is nearly as good and much cheaper)
Grand Theft Auto: Vice City
WRC/GT3 (Should be cheap-ish, although CM3 & WRC2:Extreme are worth a look, but cost more!)
Bust-A-Move/Parappa The Rapper 2 - If you like the cartoony, puzzley games!
Don't forget Playstation 1 games are compatible and you can get things like: Atari Arcade Classic (Super Sprint/Rampage/Toobin/720) on one disk!!
If you want a shooting game get Time Crisis 2 (with a gun!) It's cheaper to buy the game with the gun bundled in, although it may not be compatible with some 100Hz televisions.
Not a big fan of steering wheels, but others love them, so I can't help!

Right, I'm back from Dixons and think I should be a happy boy.
I bought the PS2, (with free steering wheel), a memory card, Agent Under Fire, WRC Rally and Grand Theft Auto (Vice City) for £266.
Good deal do you reckon??
