Compaq 3630

I have managed to get my hands on a compaq 3630 for free, with 32megs.
I want to use it for gps navigation - I have done a search and seen a few different systems available.
What is the best value for money one? I am looking at ones of between 240 and 300pounds. It has to cover the uk down to street level, and tell me via voice where to go
The ipaq will only be used for gps - will I need to upgrade to more compaq flash mem?
It is running pocket2002.
