Needs to be silent As I have a 24port one at the moment with a fan, and it is bloody noisey!

anyone know any that are cheap? have seen some on ebay for 23quid+5quid postage.. 8 PORT 10/100 FAST ETHERNET SWITCH ... looking for cheaper if possible

but cant be any less than 8ports - and must be SILENT!

why not just change the fan in the switch to a quieter one. Should cost less than a £10er, and will only be a matter of joining 2 wires up.

Talking

The other technique I used once was stick it in a rack / cupboard and take the lid off and fan out

Much quieter But this Cisco is the loudest one I've heard, but I keeping this one in one piece.

Christian - Sorry mate, didn't get a chance to get back to you last night. But in answer to your question, no idea. It weighs about 2kg.
