I have a beige G3 tower at home.

Does anyone know if it has a USB port for a digital camera which I have just ordered or will I have to buy a card?

Should have usb built it - they came as standard on MAC quite early.

Have you checked your camera is supported?

Not sure that it will - I thought the blue G3's were the first to have USB as standard. I had a late G3 266 and it wasn't equipped with USB - a card's not expensive, mind

Philip the beige G3s did not have USB. In additiona you'll need to ensure you run OS 8.6 or later for USB support. If you are still working at Nat Mags talk to Timmie Steele or Sean Briggs who should help out.

I can sort the bits you need if you want as I work for MacWarehouse. Belkin USB card is pretty cheap, probably around £25-£30 .

just backing up what AllanB sez - I've got a Beige G3...came with NO USB. I had to buy a card. V cheap too
