Download Here

This is the identical version to the XBOX game.

Incidentally if you have a look in the main downloads section of the above site, you'll find a demo for the Australian version of TOCA Race Driver (which has been renamed V8 Supercars for Oz). Don't confuse this demo witht the one that was leaked back in August.

I can't say I that impressed after playing it for 20 minutes. The graphics are quite good but the 4 tracks that I played were quite boring. No real challenges.

Also I hope that when the real game comes out the computer players are better. I lapped them on 3 of the 4 courses!!

Also there is no damage realism

Darren

Thumbs up

I've had the full game for a couple of weeks now, 3cds its pretty awesome. There is a damage engine, not as good as cmcrae3 though. Graphics are awesome, full 3d everywhere. Cars arent as nicely drawn as say cmcrae3 but the handling is pretty insane. Tracks get more involving as you progress. Mount kiwi is stunning for example. AI is ok if you race in cars of same power as the cpu ones. You need a pretty decent PC though, its a bit of a hog, 8/10.

I remember some of the X-Box owners saying it was amazing. Still haven't tried the demo so I'll reserve judgement.

The developers, Digital Illusions wrote one of my fave PC rally games - rally masters, a couple of years ago so I was hoping it was going to be good.

EVERYONE - make sure you check out the Toca Race Driver Demo I mentioned above (the most recent one). That uses the Colin McRae3 engine and has all the damage effects. I lost a wheel in my Holden when I hit a wall rather severely, and lost a tyre on the other side - ended up driving on the wheel only.
