Overclocking processors
#3
Upping fsb increases the speed at which all your other components run at as well, unless you have a pci/agp divide option i would leave well alone... unlocking cpus to increase core voltage and multiplier is simple but fiddly, search the web for instructions... overclockworkbench would be a good place to start...

Simply up the FSB you say?!?! and I do this how? I'm not worried about frying it as I have a new machine on the way and there is nothing on my current one really that is irreplacable.
A mate is always going on about how he overclocked his, but he does exaggerate a bit and couldn't explain when asked how to do it.
Cheers

Into Bios depends board to board, and cpu
What CPU is it?
Mine ran a 1.8 @2.26 but my memory was running at 900Mhz so i thought hmmmmmmmm not risking frying this lot.

its a P3 550, just fancied having a play really as it is expendable, not doing it to gain any extra speed as I only use it now for a few compiler programs that dont need that much any how.
