Question

I have had this problem twice now.

Both the servers run 2k server, AD/dns fully running. 2 network cards. 1 LAN, fixed IP, 1 Broadband, fixed IP each.

They were both allocating addresses perfectly before the broadband cards were enabled. Now they seem to be showing as running fine, yet no client machines can get addresses anymore

I have removed the DHCP server bindings to the broadband adaptors, so just the LAN based ones active.

No difference.

Microshaft knowledge base is of little use unfortunatly regarding this. Luckily, both of these primary sites only have a 20 users or so each, so fixed ip's can be whacked in to bodge it.

Anyone else on here had this happen?

I would look more in depth, but am up to my eyeballs in it

Cheers,

Nick

Are they still passing bootp messages?

It may be that the broadcasts are not getting to the DHCP servers?
