Access rights to files/folder - WinNT
#1
I have a program that runs OK in admin account, but fails with the users account. I think it's because it has an incorrect permission on a file/folder that it needs. I've already granted rights to the actual program folder, so I assume it's trying to access somewhere else. The file it gives in the error already has full control.
Is there anyway I can find out what it's trying to do? I've contacted the vendor, but had no reply yet and I would like to get it sorted ASAP.

You could use filemon from the resource kit to see which files it wants access to.
It might e.g. want access to an .ini file in windows which is outside the program directory.
What kind of software is it?

I've sorted it now :sheepish icon:
I ran the program in admin account and then used Find to look for all the files that were modified.
Should have done this before :rolleye:
