The process cannot access the file because it is being used by another process.
This looks like the problem to me. Do you still have the film open ? Restart your PC and try to burn again.

I assume this is a Divx file, they tend to get locked once opened. Opening another Divx file sometimes frees up the previous one.

Failing that, try burning DAO instead of TAO.

Let us know if not and I'll try to help more . . . .

Cool

Have used nero for a while now, but this morning I cannot write discs with it. I put a blank cd-r in, and try to burn a data disc, the buffer builds up, then an error message comes up saying, could not perform fixation, burning failed.

Any ideas?

P.S. I have uninstalled and re-installed, buut no joy.

Question

BTW, have you tried lowering the burn speed to see if this makes a difference ?

You should get a screen like this:

But without the success bit Click the Save button when its failed, save the file. Open it, copy the text and paste it into a new post.

No drivers changed, although I have just tried writing with HP record now and it does the same. Burning VCD with VCDEasy is fine.

i have saved the log as a text file is that what you need to read?

It's fake share honest, ocifer!

Seems to be going OK now.
Checked DC for downloads. There is a queue for a few avi's, one of them could be the file I am trying to burn. Closed DC and Nero is burning them now!
