Anyway of making BT Surftime not disconnect after 2 hours

The disconnect is done from BT's end there is nothing that you can do about it.

The auto cutoff is there for a reason, apart from the obvious misuse of your broadband by someone else it also frees up the network so that the channels can be re allocated which prevents (or helps find) faults.

We use CiDial which automatically reconnects you. Limits the annoyance except for large downloads where a good download manager is required.

Question

I thought the 2 hour cut-off only happened with dial-up.

On my ADSL I keep my server running for days on end, just using the stayalive program to keep BT thinking I'm still using it.
