Question

I'm looking to buy a 17" TFT/LCD monitor around the £600 mark. Must have both analogue and digital (DVI) inputs (current video card only does analogue, but that should change in the future). Some of the Samsung ones look pretty good, but lots of them are only single input. It's also hard to judge display quality without going to a shop to see them.

It will mostly be used for Windows-type stuff (word processing, surfing the net, etc.) but occasional gaming so something with a low response time and not much afterglow would be good.

Worth checking how many pixels are needed to make up a failed unit as well.
