<<HELP - Windows XP Stripe Sets >>
#1
Please any help with this would be very greatfull... (Sorry Big one)
I have 7 SCSI Disks that were in a strip set!
One of these had bad sectors on it so I removed it from the set and re-created the stripe using the 6 good drives... All Fine.
The drives were working fine until I re-installed Windows XP where it dectected the 7th drive and re-imported the old Stripe information saying that there are 7 drives in the stripe not 6..
It now just says that the Strip has failed and all is lost... I know I know I should of had a backup but iv just moved stuff of off a Failing 32Gb boot drive and now this has just lost the lot..
Are there any tools out there that alow you to manualy tell XP the Stripe Information.. Or does anyone know where this info is kept in the Reg file...There use to be one in the Windows NT 4 Resource kit but I cant rember what that was called..
PLEASE HELP...
Thanks Rob..

Rob,
I have no idea if this would help, but maybe just physically disconect the duff drive from the SCSI chain and power it up and see what happens ?
Cheers
