Errors Syncing Outlook 2002
#1
We have some remote users that when they sync Outlook 2002 on their laptops, with our server, occasionally the send/receive process takes about 10 minutes (Even when they have no changes) and a log is produced with the errors below for each folder sync'd. It's as if the sync never took place but if you watched the data transfer in the dial-up properties box you see about 2mb was sent and received!!
Any ideas
The only way I've found to resolve this when Outlook gets into this state is to perform a send/receive while on the network. Then remote sync goes back to normal.
Remote users are getting upset now that they have to come into the office to sort out this problem.

My usual troubleshooting with this problem extends to:
Check network connectivity, can they ping the server (by name).
Are you delivering to mailbox on the server and hence using an OST? OSTs corrupt easily and perhaps should be recreated.
Failing that, Outlook XP does seem to get itself in a tizz when you use Send/Receive and Synchronise. Whenever I'm working remotely I use the "Work with headers" method instead.
