how do you change/ remove apps that start with windows in 2K.
i had it sussed in 98, systemtools/tools/start progs etc, but i am buggered if i can do it now. i tried the help but it wasn't very helpful, all it does is show me how to add shotcuts to the start button.

i am trying to stop clone cd and adaptec from running in the background, if indeed they are running at all.

i have already emptied start/progs/startup. is it a registry fettle?

on my win2k i just clik on
start, programmes, startup, and delete whatever is in that menu

Does running MSCONFIG work in 2000. Not sure.

It's probably in the registry if there was no sign of it on the start menu, off the top of my head I think you'll find it at:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curr entControlSet\Run

If msconfig doesn't work, try getting hold of tweekui.
