MS Licensing Jamboree

Hi
Can some please help me out with how MS works with licensing
I'm looking to have a W2K Server running Exchange server for 30 peeps.
So, do I need to purchase W2K Std Server Edition w/5user, Std Exchange server w/5user then 25 x single exchange user licenses.
Also, is there a special license for a W2K web server?
Cheers

Are the people hitting the W2000 Web server anonymous? If so, then no CALs are required for anon web clients. If they authenticate with the W2000 server, then you do.
Do you have any other W2000 servers?

I've known people be turned down for the Action Pack as well.
http://www.microsoft.com/windows2000...cing/model.asp is a good place to start for licensing.
I'd say you need...
1 x W2000 Server License
25 x W2000 CAL
1 x Exchange Server License
25 x Exchange CAL
Best price would probably come via MOLP.

Hi ChrisB
Were running a Win2K server for web sites etc.., but the Exchange server will be running on another box.
Thanks for confirming the licencing. I though that was the case regarding identified and unidentifed, but just wanted confirmation.
Cheers, Roadie
