eh up all

It's my brother in law's wedding tomorrow, and we want to run a slideshow of images from the day in the evening.

Anyone know any DECENT slideshow software? It if supports movies, so much so the better. Preferably free, too.

DOwnloaded loadsa****e from google searches so far, so thought I'd ask someone else!

Powerpoint works perfectly, does movies and tricks. Plus millions of people use it. Save as Slideshow.

If you have a copy of XP, powertoys and a CD burner it'll add slideshow software that autoruns when you burn images to the disk.

Should have explained myself better - basically, I don't want to build a whole presentation but just dump stuff in a directory and have the program sort it out.

Dunk - will try some of those.

Jack - I may well end up using PP

Windows XP gets my vote in that case.

Here's a slideshow I produced just by right clicking a folder and choosing Slide Show. Gave it my FTP address and it uploaded it as well. The offline version does full screen as default.

Cool

Check out the app I wrote:

www.webreaper.net/other.html

It's called 'Slip' (slip/slide - geddit), and is free, tiny, and you just run it passing a directory name, and /a to automatically cycle the pics. It'll show all the pics in a directory tree.

Mark,

Just a quick message to let you know how it went. In a word, perfectly! Excellent - just exactly what I wanted. Coped with the strange screen resolution of the Libretto 100, and also quite happily churned through 6MP files without gagging.

Many thanks again!
