Been there done that with TV tuners in PCs, they work really well but it's the software that makes or breaks them i.e. the TV guides and record functions.
Used to use a DigiTV twin tuner in my mediacentre as our everyday PVR and the software was brilliant but sadly no longer supported and out of date. Now just use Humax digibox which is just as good.

I've ordered a new build pc running Windows 10 but there is no windows media centre on 10 but you can download it so I'm going to use that it worked faultlessly on my old Windows 7 pc but that used a TV card
