Default Could do with a new good Gene Hunt type series

Bloody loved Life on Mars and Ashes.DCI Gene Hunt sorely missed.Loved seeing the 70's and 80's as I saw it.

Despite a million channels, not found anything as good for a long time.Starting not to bother with TV.lol

I don't know how anyone can sit and watch Philip Glenister and his ridiculous 'hard-man' routine. If it was just an act for the show/s, fair enough, but he's like it constantly. The most non-hard hard-man in the UK lol!!! Makes Danny Dyer look like chopper.

Are you sure you are on about the right person? never thought of him more then acting a part, certainly never comes across as a Danny Dyer in interviews.

Does it have to be a 70s 80s type series or do you just want a good TV series to get into??? Have you tried watching "Ray Donovan" its on series 4 now and is a good watch!!

Needs to be a series in the 90's so we can hear him say ' fire up the Scooby'!

Gene Hunt is a cheesy looking fella with an old Audi Quattro, isn't he? I've never watched any of his motion pictures, but the Wiki says that he's a flawed, unconventional character with power, and despite his power, he does some good deeds. I can see why he appeals to his audience.

If anyone is interested in a good detective drama, watch The Killing (Danish) series on Netflix. In it, I think the main detective Sarah Lund is quite a impressionable character. I don't think she has a charisma to start any nostalgic cult, though.
