I have it running on my spare iMac at home. Not had much time to delve into it, but first impressions are a bit ...meh

Filed two bug reports already in the first 10 minutes

So tempting to do an upgrade... must resist. I use iCloud Documents and Data extensively and have heard that this is what will trip you up right now.

The new font is challenging right now.

Nope. I'll keep both for a while, I don't have a developer account so can't run iOS8, I sync a lot of documents between devices.

I believe it's not just newer bluetooth that is required, there seems to be some indication that wireless ac (802.11.ac) is also needed. I believe the newer mac models have a single card that has both BT and Wifi on it. There are people who have tried just a BT 4.0 adapter / dongle and that doesn't allow it to work. What isn't known yet is wether just getting adding in some kind of 802.11.ac card AND a BT 4.0 dongle would make it work.

As it's still beta it is possible Apple might change things before the release and allow third party adapters to work. I can see why they would (allow older machines to use the new features with a small hardware update), but also see why they would not (make people upgrade to newer hardware)

Mine's over 3 years old, I didn't complain when I didn't get airplay on it and although handoff would be awesome I can live without it, still stings a bit as I was forced to buy this one knowing an update was on it's way, as a bonus it's the last of the anti-glare screens, which is nice.

The iMac had home is a new model (2013) so all good for the bluetooth but the MBP that I use day in day out and is my workhorse is a lowly Mid 2009 model so no chance of that handling version 6 BT and indeed handoff.

Oh well maybe now after 5 years of constant use and a fair few upgrades and OS, it is time to sell it and upgrade to something new

I wanted to run it but as I dont have a mac im screwed, I wanted to run it in VMware but I cant actually download the ISO even though I have a key as it requires mac app store. Stupid. Ill stick to Windows 8.1 and Linux.

None. This is beta software, things will break. Wait and it will appear as a normal, free update and your Mac will be prettier and work better.
