hi, please excuse the noob question, but what does the cone do? i think it's part of the boost system

and what would happen if it was damaged in some way? would it effect boost pressure?

thanks.

lol, without.

had had think there, thought that was something technical...

don't know exactly what it is called, tried to find it on wiki page but couldn't. i'm sure it is connected to the air box.

anyway my cone is damaged and i wonder if this would affect boost pressure.

anyone know?

thanks.

The only 'cone' I can think of would be the common upgrade for an airbox, an induction cone.

It's an induction kit m8 a replacement for the normal airbox ie your air filter. I've seen loads that are a bit bent or squashed it will be fine unless it is really badly squashed or even torn then maybe time to replace it. It's not directly to do with boost but the engine needs air of course.

As mentioned, it would have to be pretty mashed to strangle the breathing of the car.

That said, if it's filthy, it may be worth replacing.
