im selling my car i had 3 17-20yr old come down to look at my car thinking im gona sell it one off them rang his insurance and it woz 4800 y

I know what your sayin it pisses you off, they seem to think you will let them loose in your impreza for a free ride when simply they have no intention of buying it. Yeah i remember being 18 and trying to insure an impreza turbo (I got a quote for £9000 )

Tell them you want to see insurance first and bet most of them wont turn up.

carefull you dont shoot yourself in the foot there mate...

....im pretty young, and I look about 12 lol. Yet iv owned a blobeye WRX for nearly a year now. I remember walking onto a forecourt last year and looking at scooby, and the salesmen didnt even bother to come over, so i walked away. Their loss at the end of the day.
Same thing with a mate of mine, when he was 19 he was earning around 70k and thought about buying a lotus....salesman wouldnt give him the time of day because of his age....so he took his money elsewhere.
There is plenty of young scooby drivers out there.

some people are just dreamers. i don't think i'd let anyone drive my car without insurance even if it was just a test drive 2 mins around the block

not wen they just passt and a first car my fist car woz a 1ltr lol top end i got 95mph

Wouldn't say the age matters too much!

I'm 22 and just brought a 2003 Blobeye Wrx Insurance is my Choice to pay! Which is currently 185 a month till the end of November.

true true i put 9 hard months and alot off cash in it last thing i want is seeing in in a hedge or scrap yard

as djandyg knows i'm another young scooby owner, Focus RS @ 19, Civic Type R @ 20 and scoob @ 21, all insured in my own name full comp and all mods declared, never paid more than £1500 for insurance either.

Yep have to agrea mate young lads / lassies are getting the money from somehwere for the cost off these cars + the insurance.

there are now a total off 7 different mk2 Focus rs cosworths around the area I stay all being driven by what appear to be guys / girls no older than in there early 30`s

£24k + on the car and what £2k on insurance ??

***** waving about who owns what at what tender young age aside, it's very important that you INSIST on seeing documentary proof of fully comprehensive insurance before you let anyone take the car for a test drive: don't let them blag about a "trade policy etc" or "being allowed to drive the cars of other people on their policy" The latter will be 3rd part cover only.

No insurance = you will be conducting the test drive. End of!

I'm insured fully comp but that doesn't cover me to drive any other vehicle. If I want to add that they wanted another £800!!!

I told them to swivel.

I bet I can beat you, I'm 26 working part time in sales, and live in a rented house and expecting my 2nd child any day now!
