was going home from a freinds house, turned right out of a junction and at the junction facing me was 3 lads on scooters turning the same way as me.
After two of them pulling out infront of me and making me brake, the third scooter pulled out behind, i caught the other two up but they kept breaking hard and forcing me to slam my brakes on which wasnt good because the third scooter was right on my back bumper!
We got round the corner and the third scooter behind me pulls over towards the kurb and starts undertaking me, forcing me into oncoming traffic
they turned off further up the road but i couldnt persue them because the missus was a tad shaken up so i flew home and phoned the police to give them registration numbers and went back out to look for them, but they had gone

The thing is your average 16 year old can do a CBT (a morning riding around cones in a school playground then an hour or so supervised ride) and ride around with L plates thinking they are Carl Fogarty....

Think back to what you were like when you were 16 and how likely you would have been to make it to 17 riding one of these things with zero experience and road sense.

Always carry a cheap disposable camera in the car....

Similar thing happened to me a few years a go,
I'm British but work in Switzerland (swiss plates on car)
and was with my little sis in Preston my home town (on holiday) when some tw*ts followed me in a crappy escort tried too ram me
side swipe me the lot... this carried on for about 10 miles!!!
chased me through red lights no stopping!!!
Finally lost them buy stopping outside a police station, where I reported everything that happened plus Number plates, car colour
description of the lads....
To say the least the officer showed very little intrest
"any proof?" was his response....
"WELL ME SISTERS SCREAMING HER HEAD OFF IN TEARS IF YOU WANT TO ASK HER!"
"You say you went through a red light sir?"
I was frickin chuffed with this guy!

I later found out that the car was stolen......

My sister was in total shock

Pretty bad day really......

May I repeat carry a camera!

Plums.

I do actually carry a disposable camera in the car at all times (as does the girlfriend). They do actually go out of date after about 18 months or so but I gaurantee if you are ever unfortunate enough to need it it will be invaluable. Even if the person who hits you admits it 100% they often have a habit of changing their story when they speak to friends/insurance company or watch an advert for claims direct. Photographic evidence is a little harder to deny though!

Tescos were actually doing a buy one get one free thing on the Fuji one with flash a while back, worked out at £3.50 each.

Cool

Not as bad as your experience Plums but I also am English, and live in Germany so German plates, car was parked outside my mates house in Lower Earley near Reading when some ****** in a crappy renault clio side swiped it and scratched and dented the passanger side and drove off home, fortunatelly for me he was stupid enought to leave his door trim by my back wheel and park his white clio outside his house on the same road with a nice san remo blue stripe down the side, we reported him and the cops did him and his insurance company coughed up for the damage to my car.

I'll second that! I had a guy do a runner on me after ramming my driver's door - the only reason the police got the chap was because I took some quick snaps (luckily had a digital camera with me!!).

Natch got the plate, car type, colour etc - open and shut case (luckily it wasn't a stolen car either).

Now I always carry a camera of some sort!

Good one this morning -
Three lane traffic lights going down to two lanes, merging lanes 2+3. I am in lane 3 behind some cars. Next to me in lane 2 is a high sided van, and behind him is an escort van (do I need to go on?).
Pulling away the escort van closes the gap alongside me. I carry on lane 3, now thinking that the donkey in lane 2 is going to move into lane 1 (no cars there) or yield in some manner (I haved no where to go) but no, he accelerates, cuts me up hitting the front of my car. Result - one folded wing. No witnesses stopped.
He immediately pulled into the left lane to a layby about 30 metres down the road for a quick gloat.
Now, that's how you get shoved off the road. What now though? Dangerous driving claim? Doubt the Police would give a toss...
