Well lads hows things? Newbie here from ireland and when i say newbie i mean to the forum and to scooby's. Im a bit of a honda and mitsi fan ta be honest
So anyway im contemplating entering the scooby world once i can get past this misconception i have about scooby engines blowing up!

Personally i can tell by looking at the pics but its confirmed after noticing damage on the last pic. Have a close look.

Seller has not mentioned mileage or year. Looks like a V5/6

Kilometers lad, what do you think of the car otherwise?
Should i be worried about engine reliability, i have heard lots of stories of these engines going pop!
If there well maintained they should last rite?
Is the boost a bit high for a standard engine?

*EDIT* Your type r looks much

1.1b is standard boost or there abouts. 1.2b is not too much considering it has been mapped properly etc. Look for any proof in regards to mapping & try & find out who mapped it.

Subaru's going pop is rubbish. Some just dont know how to look after them.

I ran 1.6 bar on stock V3 sti for over 1 year with no problems.

Your welcome mate

Look out for noisy transmission, diff etc. Make sure the engine is not making any unwanted noise. Piston slap is common when cold but goes away when warm. Also check rocker covers for any leaks & all the normal checks you would do on any car.

Looks nice, but I wouldn't buy a car from someone who writes an advert like a 15 year old.
