Default New Exhaust Fitted - Engine Management Light is on!

Hello

I was hoping someone could help!

I fitted an Exhaust system to my 03 WRX yesterday and now the Engine Management Light keeps coming on, is this a normal problem?

Could it be because I don't have a CAT anymore?

Thats correct mate. Would be a good idea to possibly get a remap now and that will get rid of the CEL light for you.

Thank you the other concern is that the light only came on after 150 miles rather than straight away.

It might take a while for it to realise you've let the cat out! Was it a turbo back decat?

There is a resistor fix that can be done without any remap. TSL did mine for me.

Remap would be your best idea. Without your gonna be hitting HUGE Boost spikes, especially with this cold weather

Did you remove the up-pipe cat as well?
