If you want a UK version around 99, then there are three choices:

Uk Turbo 2000
RB5
P1.

If you don't want to pay too much, stick with the UK Turbo, although I think RB5s have come down in price recently. P1s are still quite expensive - £8k+.

Should get a good MY99/00 for £4-5k, less if mileage doesn't bother you.

For e.g. my MY00 W-Reg with 104k is probably only worth £3-3.5k.

If you stick with 99/00 then you will get the best of the classics, and also the earlier ones are harder/more expensive to remap.

Take your time buying also, buyers market at the moment so be choosy and don't pay too much

Welcome to the madhouse mate....

you get a few w***ers, like the one above, but generally most people are helpful.

take your time when looking and try and see / drive as many as you can, then you will appreciate the differences between them. (no two scoobies drive the same!!!)

try and get along to a few local meets and speak to people there.

we were all new to meets at one point, just pluck up the courage and go!!!!

good luck..!!
