Question

Had my new MY00 for a week now and have managed to clockup 450 miles so will soon have hit the 1000 mile oil change and will be ready for a bit of fun.

My problem is I live in South London and B-road thrills are a bit few and far bewteen.

Where do you recommend going to fully test out the cars capabilities. Looking at something like a 2-4 hour round trip.

Alex is right - the roads south of Leatherhead are about as good as it gets in that part of the world.

For a nice drive and day out, I'd recommend taking the A24 down to just south of Dorking (Beare Green), then turning off onto the A29 and heading down to Chichester or Arundel.

Regards,

Gary.

I go to Chichester. (Wittering has some great roads.) Really look forward to it as the roads are stonking, and you can get the car working (safely I might add). One of my favorites is Berry Hill. Blast up, take the corners and there is a fantastic round about at the end.

oohhh, I look forward to the drive. BUT there are some dodgy corners that you should be carefull on. I drive sensibly and tend to stick to the speed limits and still have an enormous amount of fun.

Enjoy.

P.

Just to back up what the boys have said. The best routes tend to be down towards East and West Sussex. I used to work down in Pulborough and there are some very nice routes down the A29, then try taking some of the back routes down towards Brighton and then along the coast towards Lewis. Enjoy

Hi Mike,

Not sure if you interested in flat out speed, but on the A249 towards the Isle of Sheppey in Kent there is a good bit of road.

The last five miles of so from Sittingbourne to the bridge are usually vacant of cars after 9-10 at night, and there are no cameras. I have had my P1 needle bending towards the digital odo button (think that is vague enough not to incriminate me if a policeman is reading).

Your welcome to pop my way if you around this area.

Mark

There is one reading and you've done a fairly good job of incriminating yourself!

Why dont you try the track to get the max out of your car and learn its limitations, this way youll now how far to push on the roads.

A3 to Guildford?????
NO! Don't even bother!
That road is seething with traffic plod, concentrated between Guildford & the M25 Junction.
All the cars bound from London to Guildford cruise cane it down there and they just pull em all.
