It's only 260 PS and that on 100 RON fuel. So I reckon the bhp will be below 250. It's knocking on a bit, so you can shave a bit more off. With a perfect launch you might get under five seconds.

An unmodded UK will do 5.5, possibly slightly quicker. The manufacturer's quote of 6.5 is a little conservative.

Don't get all excited, you'd probably have to beast your car to get anywhere near that.

That kind of time is through red lining it and then side stepping the clutch. An M reg car won't like that.

A better metric would be it's 30-70 time which would be comparable with today's crop of hot hatches.

I'm biased, but they really are good motors - they have the Z4 ecu is greatly improved over the earlier (Ver I) ecu. 260ps (I think that's 256bhp in english - on 100ron fuel), a bit lethargic off boost, but slightly closer ratios than the Turbo 2000, giving good sprint times. I'd go closer to 5secs dead for the 0-60 dash, but you'll be lucky to find any factory data..... I think top end is around 140-145 mph..
