Default GC8 Engine Required... Read on...

Hi Guys, and greetings from www.gt4oc.com

A mechanic friend of mine has just got a JDM GC8 Classic Impreza in, minus an engine!

It's badged as an STI, although I'm 99% sure it's a WRX as it only has a 7000RPM redline. Can anyone confirm or deny this for me please? It's kinda hard to tell without an engine!

Anyhoo, it has the wiring harness complete and still attached to the car, but I am having a little difficulty sourcing a "Plug 'n' Play" engine for it.

Basically, we need a sound engine, with all sensors and ancillarys that will plug straight onto the main wiring harness with no messing around.

I have the following information from the car if that's any help? :

Model Code: GC8A48D
Chassis Number: GC8-007869
Engine Type: EJ20GDWHE
Transmission Type: TY752VB3AA

Any help, or a general shove in the right direction would be SERIOUSLY appreciated! Thanks guys and gals.

try Dave at Api engines. just do a search on here for their number or look it up on the tinternet in a yahoo/google uk search. They should be able to sort out an engine and the bits that you need.
