yes, with the original tmic !...in fact, which is interested me more, it's the jet positioning, and the jet size...

On MY96 when I was using a TMIC I fitted my injector nozzle on the underside of the TMIC, throttle body side directly in line with the centre of the throttle butterfly. I used the 0.6mm jet and set the pressure actuation at ~12psig.

Cheers

ok ! do you use an aquamist 1 system or 2...or other system ?

in same condition (boost, afr,..), have you more power/torque ?

i use a system 1s on my car but it is not mapped for it so it looses power and torque but the car pulls that well i really couldnt care as its safer with it on

Ricou, unless your ECU learns more (I doubt on your MY95), you will have to raise boost pressure and lean fuel mixture to get more torque/bhp. That's the main purpose of Aquamist system : decrease cylinder temperature and avoid knocking.
But your "comming soon" Andy's TD05/06-20G will allow you that ;-)

xavier, i'm agree with you ! but decreasing admission temperature have same effect as a bigger TMIC isn't it ?..all people knows that when temperature is low, there's more fuel mixture in cylinder, so more power....in consequence, with an aquamist, the engine could deliver more power for same boost....

for td05/06-20g, "je compte sur toi !"

I guess replacing the TMIC would not be a bad idea, either
I thought you changed it long time ago !
Beside this I'm wondering what you might be able to get in term of AFR without any remap, even in your current configuration, considering that I'm nearly maxing the MAF with a stock pressure (in a few overshoots). I mean the MAF ECU reading is saturated above 4.6V on MY96

i don't say that i would never removed the original tmic... not at this time only....

for the remap, it's not a problem...

If you're running 550's and a 20G an oem intercooler is going to be a severly limiting factor.

When running with water injection on a standard set up, the gains of lower charge temp will be off set by the fact you're pouring water into the engine, which as we know doesn't burn too well.

However, do you really want to map it so that WI is required to prevent det. That's a very small nozzle and easy to clog up (potentialy destroying an engine).

I use it as a safety net when i know the charge temps will be high, ie on the track.

FYI i use the 1s system with the nozzle on top of the intercooler and a small piece of copper pipe to prevent the hose kinking. I had inteneded to mount it below but couldn't due to the shape of the APS intercooler.

hi dave !
in fact, i'll certainly fit a fmic before the WI....

however, the WI will be used only to prevent det, not to have more power....it will be totally crazy to want more torque/power with the stock engine...
