Misfire??
Hello All,
I am new to this board, and was reccomended it by a friend!
I was wondering if any-one could shine some light on this?:
My pride and joy JDM94 WRX Sti has a slight "misfire" well thats what i'd call it, basically it seems to have started after all this wet weather we have had, it started to splutter about a week or so again in a trip in the rain, but when she warmed up it seemed fine.
A few days ago i noticed that if i rev the car slowly at about 2500RPM the engine seems to "judder" not violently but enough to notice it in the car from about 4000RPM+ you don't seem to notice it as much,
At tickover the car is smooth as, under boost again the car seems fine, if driving in 5th in low RPM i can just about feel it hesitating every now and then. (Its hard to tell due to the stiff suspension) but cruising at about 70 is very smooth..
Someone told me that the damp could of caused a plug to short and blow and "transistor"? does this sound right?
The plugs look a right @rse to try and change..so its either i give it a bash or take it to Power Engineering and fork out a fortune.
Has any-one else had this kind of prob in the past?
Any ideas?
