Ok so got the exhaust back from been opened up to 3" now time for one of the final pieces of the jigsaw.
I have purchased new Id 850 injectors with harnesses that I would like to fit over the next day or two once basicaly I'm sure that the injectors are correct...
My first question is has anybody fitted id injectors just the set I have look a lot different from the standard pinks currently fitted the seal at the bottom of the injector is only a little thing just worried about leaks... I no there gonna be different in design just mainly worried about any potential leak...
Any how here is a pic of them so you can see for yourself unless I'm just been paranoid...
I have just fitted 850 IDs, exactly the same as those in your pic and rather different in appearance to pinks. Straightforward fit, no leaks and work perfectly.

Thanks that's what I was hopefully looking to here just out of interest what year was you fitting them to ?
I thought I already had! No need for any additional o-rings, all you need is there ready to be fitted. You don't need anything pinched from the pinks.
Understood paben,
As you have done it reasently did u reduce fuel pressure prior to fitting ?? I have driven the sub this morning and won't be driven again...gonna fit the injectors tomorrow just wondering if it's needed and if so best quickest way was of doing it

Yes reduce fuel pressure, disconnect the fuel pump relay and run the engine until it stalls, remove the fuel cap, also disconnect the battery just in case. Or you could just pull off a fuel pipe and waste some fuel! (and risk a fire).

Lol by reduce fuel pressure I thought the op meant screw the fuel pressure reg down, ie from 4 bar to 3 bar, to account for the bigger injectors.
Fitted ID 740cc to my car last week i actually e-mailed technical support at ID they confirmed that i should just put a tiny bit of grease on the 'o' rings and install as supplied. The injectors actually have a sleeve which take up any slack mine have been okay not leaked..
I was just asking wether I needed to reduce pressure in the system prior to removing the injectors or if I could just whip them straight out... I'm under the impression as the sub wouldn't have moved / started for a day I can just remove them...
Done it plenty of times of a classic not so many times Newage top feed hence all the questions.,,

Thanks for all the help everyone
My id1000 I had fitted not long ago had to have the top seal off the old pinks put below as the new injector seal was getting pushed down. could your mapper fit them before mapping? Best to not drive it after as you risk washing the bores
I fitted 800cc and reduced fuel pressure to 2bar for drive to mappers, everything was fine just when it dropped down to idle in neutral it would cut out, but started again no problem or feather the throttle and keep revvs up
