Question

Does anyone remember what tyres were fitted as standard to an MY99 or MY00 as it rolled off the factory floor?

The RE010 as Rich said was fitted to the 16" wheels.

On both MY99 and MY00, only difference between the two was the style of the wheel, tyres were Bridgestone Potenza RE010 in 205 50 16.

Wear down quick? - these things seem to be made of mahogany to me!

Tyre wear seemed awful to me, plus when low there's no grip and tramlining is abysmal.

Agree... tramlined like crazy..

I was amazed when I changed to Falkens and 17inch wheels at the extra grip etc.. and no tramlining.. and they are only cheap Falkens... for Bridgestone I was disapointed with them and have been put off.. despite my Bridgestone tyres on the bike being wonderful... not up to there usual standard.

I don't disagree about tram lining and grip - perhaps that makes the time they are taking to wear down longer than it really is !!

Thanks to Catflap, I've got Toyo Proxes, so no grip problems at all! Just a query, thanks all.
