Does anyone remember what tyres were fitted as standard to an MY99 or MY00 as it rolled off the factory floor?

Bridgestone RE010

Maz-old 05 June 2002 03:12 PM

Is that on both of them or just one? Thanks for the reply though.

IanW 05 June 2002 03:13 PM

The RE010 as Rich said was fitted to the 16" wheels.

ScoobyJawa 05 June 2002 03:38 PM

On both MY99 and MY00, only difference between the two was the style of the wheel, tyres were Bridgestone Potenza RE010 in 205 50 16.

i thought they were not bad when new, wear down quick and are ****e when low, mslid a bit.

Boost II 05 June 2002 04:37 PM

Wear down quick? - these things seem to be made of mahogany to me!

chiark 05 June 2002 04:44 PM

Tyre wear seemed awful to me, plus when low there's no grip and tramlining is abysmal.

Jolly Green Monster 2 05 June 2002 05:02 PM

Agree... tramlined like crazy..

I was amazed when I changed to Falkens and 17inch wheels at the extra grip etc.. and no tramlining.. and they are only cheap Falkens... for Bridgestone I was disapointed with them and have been put off.. despite my Bridgestone tyres on the bike being wonderful... not up to there usual standard.

Boost II 05 June 2002 05:29 PM

I don't disagree about tram lining and grip - perhaps that makes the time they are taking to wear down longer than it really is !!

Maz-old 05 June 2002 08:38 PM

Thanks to Catflap, I've got Toyo Proxes, so no grip problems at all! Just a query, thanks all. :D
