Well today it was time for the major part of the service to be carried out - engine timing belt with rollers and tensioner, engine oil pump and water pump.
Upon removal of the timing covers it was found that the timing belt along with associated parts must have all been done just before the car was sold, along with the oil pump plus the water pump as well.
From what I can understand the car has covered no more than a couple of hundred miles if that since this work has been carried out, it would have been a pointless exercise to change these brand new parts for other brand new parts so happy with what was in place the timing covers were put back in place.

I don't believe I've stated or posted saying that this work had been done already?
You've got me doubting myself now...

I look forward to seeing it in person, in the pics it looks fantastic.
No problem, I get confused myself and it's my car.

Today some more of the service work and 'tidy up' jobs carried on.
Firstly the new alloy radiator was fitted along with the refreshed fan cowls which meant the re-assembly of all the removed parts, the radiator core is slightly larger than the OE item but it should greatly improve the cooling along with the new thermostat which has been fitted as well.
The new header tank that Dave supplied with me was also fitted along with an STi high pressure header tank cap which again should also improve the cooling.
I also should be receiving next week a RallyTech cooling panel which will cover the top of the radiator and help to make it look more like OE.
The VTA dump valve was swapped out for a Forge recirculating valve along with a new Venair connecting hose, the car hasn't been driven yet but this should improve the spool when going on / off the throttle but no more annoying turbo whistle.
The engine oil and filter were changed using Millers CFS 10w50 NT and a genuine Subaru black oil filter, the engine bay fuel filter with an OEM equivalant, some of the coolant hoses were swapped out as well for silicone items, the coolant was replenished with Prestone extended life anti freeze (thanks Ian for getting it for me).
The rear differential oil was drained and Titan Pro LSD PA90 oil was used, the gearbox oil was also drained and refilled with Millers CRX 75w90 NT oil.
The rear anti roll bar drop links were swapped out for Whiteline heavy duty items plus whilst the everything was easily accessible a Perrin anti-lift kit (PSRS as they call it) was fitted.
The Sparco steering wheel was changed for the genuine STi item shown above that Lee re-stitched for me, I am really pleased with the steering wheel and it's all due to Lee's stirling work.
I also took the opportunity to fit the BBS centre caps that I ordered in from Germany, I am disappointed about the fact they are not the correct items for the car but these are still genuine BBS caps and in keeping with the wheels.
Plus I also took the chance to fit the McGard STi wheel nuts as the nuts fitted are well past their best and needed replacing badly, sorry Kev.
As you can see from the above pics the engine bay needs sorting out badly as it really lets the car down, this is going to be done at the end of the summer once the car comes off the road for some major TLC I have planned for it.
Next week should see the arrival of the RallyTech flap set I have ordered plus on Friday I received a set of genuine Prodrive fitted floor mats that I bought off a seller on P1WOC.
Thursday will be a busy and long day as the plan is to complete the service, fit new Tein springs all round, fit a roll centre correction kit plus the flap set as well plus some other minor jobs I can't quite remember right now.
Then hopefully on Saturday catch an early train up to Leominster, pick the car up and then drop into Indigo GT on the way home for a geometry check and alignment (assuming they are open that is as I haven't checked yet).
