Prodrive P1 Lowering Springs - Rare Purchase opportunity.
There is a thread on RS 2.5 that has gotten a good amount of views, so I think there is interest.
A formal review of prototypes (especially compared to other springs available) will help to garner more attention, as well as pictures so people can see this isn't just vaporware.
Beyond that, I'm curious what the move will be if we can't draw enough numbers. Worst case scenario, we have enough to have one set of springs made, but which ones? 75 springs might have been overambitious.

We've reviewed all the spring sets we're going to test. The dampers have been measured.

We know the combinations we're trying to improve upon - ride height/spring rate/flat ride.
There's a WR15 prototype awaiting measurement at Eibach. The chief test pilot won't fit these, unless, the actual measurements match the design parameters.
Then, as you rightly say, we can review against our previous findings.

Hey excuse my noobyness, is there 1 post that describes these 3 different springs or am I missing something?
On my 97 STI I just installed KYB AGX and RS-R lowering springs and they're too soft... wanted P1 but of course they're hard to come by.
NVM.... got it in post #182

We've never measured the gc8 RS-R down springs. They're supposed to be 185/168lb/in.
P1 were 194/157 NOT 215/195
WR15 R/T 230/200

This is great news! I have my STI struts stripped, few bits getting plated, new seals, grease nipples fitted and a repaint. I must look in to bump stops as well now it's been mentioned again.
Bumpstop selection still being tested at Bilstein.
The P11-6 will work equally well with the kyb excel-g - you won't gain anything by buying the agx's(unless the agx's come with a lifetime guarantee?, like they do in the US).
The koni inserts are really nice.
Enough respect for the time and effort you guys have put into researching and testing different setups, proper dedication
Have been going crazy trying to work out what would work on my standard UK Turbo GF8, am I right in thinking that none of these spring/shock combos would work well on the wagon because of the extra weight she carries?

The difference between an empty and a full tank of fuel, makes more difference than the extra weight of a wagon.
Nice one, i'll have a trawl back through the thread.
As mentioned earlier, I won't be collecting any monies, until I see them in Eibach's warehouse.

Talking bumpstops, for twin-tube dampers:
1. Would people prefer the bumpstops hidden inside the strut boots?
2. Or the bumpstop on show, with the strut boot attaching to the bumpstop, so you can easily check degradation?
3. Whichever bumpstop combination gives a neutral balance starting point? Probably necessitating/allowing a smaller diameter/or softer setting on the rear sta bar - for increased rear suspension independence: better traction and comfort.

For those of us unfamiliar, could you explain the significance of bumpstops in improving handling, how much the new bumpstops will cost, and how they bias the car towards neutral handling wise?
And when you say smaller diameter rear sway bar, about what range?
Grtz.
