How long will they take to go into production if no changes to the prototype are required?

Quote: In 25's, in silicon chrome, with a phosphate undercoat, beneath the finish and a geometry sheet, they should be around £270 delivered.
It's very quantity dependent though. A ground top coil also adds cost.
OK.

P11 spring set - red - for P1 Kyb inverted strut

P11-6 spring set - red - same as P11, but 6mm lower at front - for Excel-g, P1 kyb inverted, early Bilsteins, agx, koni

WR15 R/T spring set - grey - 40N/mm/35N/mm - ground top coil - front 12mm lower than P11, rear 6mm lower than P11 - for agx, koni and late Bilsteins. Prototype still to be tested on car.

Let me know if there's any interest in a Track/Road spring set - I am still progressing a design.

8 weeks delivery to Eibach UK from order. Accepting orders from 5th Jan.

Question is how many to order?

Pricing:

P11 and P11-6

Minimum order 25 sets - £270 delivered UK mainland
50 sets or more - £235 delivered UK mainland

WR15 R/T

Minimum order 25 sets - £290 delivered UK mainland
50 sets or more - £255 delivered UK mainland

Happy Christmas

Hi,

could you clarify which springs are the closest to the original P1's Spring and will fit on the original P1 damper.

If you can clarify that I am in

Nice work, How would the P11-6 sit compared to standard Turbo 2000 springs? Is it 20mm lower as per the normal prodrive springs plus extra 6mm lower front?

We might as well start this again:

Hi

Yes. The P11-6 is 6mm lower, at the front, than the P1, and same P1 height at the rear.

Thanks, will they come with bumpstops or do we use originals?

Bilstein are now (not Eibach) making a tool to get the 22mm damper shaft in their measuring device:
6 front and 3 rear bump stops, will be tested against the originals. That should give an indication as to whether replacing, or cutting down, the bump stops, might be better or no advantage.

Does anyone have the part numbers of P1 struts so I am compare them to the red KYB inverted struts I have? Mine are of a V5 Type R. Are they likely to be the same?

That's very good question. I wouldn't have thought it was the same damper, as the rate difference between the P1 springs and the STI v5/v6 springs is too large for 1 damper set to span.
I'd guess you'd be the WR15 R/T. Which is a closer match to the V5/V6 spring rates.

I would definitely fit some up-dated inverted bump stops.

Ok so I've had a few minutes to myself and from what I've found already the P1 red inverted struts are the same as the STI red inverted struts. Same part number!

Right.

Walk me through this as if I were a small child.

The WR15 R/T are for the standard KYB AGX, correct? What are the spring rates f/r? Is this a linear spring? Estimated longevity based on other springs of a similar design? Actual ride height? Added cost for the flattened top coil? Any additional parts I should have for use with the KYB AGX? An idea of the differences between the spring sets so I can decide if it is worth it to get upgraded struts? And shipping to the US?

Supposing we don't get the minimum orders by Jan. 5, what then? Kick the end date up the field a little longer, or is the whole thing called off (which would be a shame given the work done)? Or will more money work?

Take a look at this thread for part numbers:

https://www.scoobynet.com/suspension...t-numbers.html

And this from eBay:

http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/SUBARU-IMPRE...-/201223349917

Both show that P1 struts are the same as the Type R struts I have here. What's your thoughts on this 2pot?

If it's the same set of struts for P1,v5 sti and v6 sti, then weirdly, you can have any of the spring sets were making?!
I'd guess the P1 spring set was, intentionally, over-damped compared to the JDM springs, used on the STI v5/6.

I don't know what's went on but from where I'm sitting it looks very like they do indeed share the same parts. Which is good for me

Perhaps some kind P1 owner would shine a torch under their car and read the little white stickers on the bottom inside of the strut for us.

There's a full set of used P1 struts on eBay right now. I'll mail the seller to see if he can do the same for me.

As it stands I think it's safe to say the P1 springs will fit my V5 STI struts. In that case, when/how do we pay for the spring sets 2pot?

Text taken from a post on the Type-RA forum:

The red dampers were kept by Prodrive for use on the P1 - but with their own spring specification. In theory you can buy them via the UK dealer network still (at a price!) but I have heard mixed messages as to availability. Part number if you want to try -
FL - 20311FA960
FR - 20311FA950
RL - 20360FA960
RR - 20360FA950

The earliest I could place an order, is 5th Jan. Then 8 weeks for delivery from Germany.
On that time scale, I wouldn't expect funds until the end of Feb.

Right.

Walk me through this as if I were a small child.

The WR15 R/T are for the standard KYB AGX, correct? Yes, amongst others. Try setting 3 front, 5/6 rear.
What are the spring rates f/r? 230/200
Is this a linear spring? It's not a coilover. Linearity is intentionally confined to a prescribed range.
Estimated longevity based on other springs of a similar design? ??????????
Actual ride height? WR15 R/T 13.25ish" wheel centre to arch.
Added cost for the flattened top coil? Already part of the WR15 R/T design
Any additional parts I should have for use with the KYB AGX? No
An idea of the differences between the spring sets so I can decide if it is worth it to get upgraded struts? P11 for P1 originality and ride heights. P11-6 for those who can't stand the P1 front arch gap. WR15 R/T - lowered, therefore higher spring rate, smooth roads/track days.
And shipping to the US? As a one off $120 + $11 import duty.

Supposing we don't get the minimum orders by Jan. 5, what then? Kick the end date up the field a little longer, or is the whole thing called off (which would be a shame given the work done)? The 5th Jan is the earliest possible order date.
Or will more money work? Got to get 25 minimum orders per spring set.

After plenty of reading, I'd like to get a set of the P11-6 springs. I'm in Northern Ireland so I assume there's a little more shipping cost. At least I have a couple of months to do a good refurb on the red struts now!

Done and done.

Put me down for a set WR15 R/T, possibly two if we are just shy of meeting the order requirements.

As there wasn't the reponse I expected on RS 2.5, is NASIOC aware?

Still, much time between now and then. My suspicion is doing this in the winter was bad timing.

Just thinking, do you need at least 25 sets of one type of spring before production begins?

EDIT: Never mind, just seen that you do.

Is this being advertised on the other forums? Would it be worth trying to get the subaru parts shops to buy in on a few sets so we hit the minimum?

Just to note, I'd jump over to the P11 springs if it helped with numbers to get these in to production. 6mm is nothing really.

Hi with is the best spring for fast road/track day? Would go for the P11, but maybe P11-6. My springs are the KYB AGX adjustables..
Thanks
