I reckon that middle bit probably folds up and away leaving a middle "seat" but I might be wrong?

Very much so, thanks.
It's a tad nippy...

So is it a full 5 seater, with the rear a/c controls behind the middle seat?
Seems odd.
Eta - unless the belt is for a child seat?

The rear centre armrest pulls down and has the two rear zone controls which is overkill, but so are seat massagers although very nice. Goes up and you have five seats.

This looks fun;

Plenty running over 400bhp now.
They've just face lifted the 1 series; better from the front, worse from the back.

One of those doesn't have as much power as the other.
I hope to get my BMW this week. I just really need my **** cheeks grazed by some hedgerow.

In replacement for what? Do you still have the GTR or did you get rid after getting the S8?

Planning to sell the GTR still but holding off until I drive it again to make sure and also after I've done a bit of tuning training on it in March that I've agreed to as a trade of info with an Audi tuner. Market will probably be stronger in spring, although dreading selling it with tyre kickers.
The BMW is yellow, fugly and slow. But it has a straight six and with some work will go very sideways.

325ti. Wondering about whether to SORN it immediately or put it on the road until modified. I could take it to the circuit unmodified and drive on road and check for issues, cost is £500 a year for tax and insurance. I could then cancel both and modify it for drift... £500 would buy some nice coilovers and hydraulic handbrake. Also looking at a 330ci next weekend which is already modified with welded rear diff, hydraulic handbrake, clutch delay valve removal, all of which are pretty essential for drifting.

Isn't a 325ti one of those little squashed compact beemers? You're selling the GTR to get a BMW compact to go drifting?
Are they smaller wheelbase than a 330i? Would it not be better to get the 330i for drifting? ie more weight out the back?

Yes, the ugly ones, nice used buy as no one likes them. Same wheelbase and proper full size E46 underpinnings. 100kg less, shorter gearing due to different final drive. Drifts as well as a 330i apparently. I was planning on selling the GTR anyway as I prefer the S8 as a road car and the GTR is too heavy and expensive (in value and consumables) for me to want to track. Sometimes less is more when it comes to fun?

Having seen nothing but post after post about the A45 and tuning them up to a gazillion bhp, I felt some balance was required.

He forgets that in the RS3 vid...!
He still likes the M135i a lot though but ultimate pace and grip is more his thing (plus little or no oversteer) so the Merc edges it.
Evo were a bit grumpy about it though.

Well..... there all tossers unless they are giving me the money to buy the car.
As long as us, the cash paying public, prefer what we have bought...... that's the be all and end all.

We're lucky to have a choice of 300++ bhp hatches that are actually useable as daily drivers.

Agreed.... although they are so much better than the peak bhp figures suggest on their own. The package as a whole can be stunning.

Standard time is 4.0s for the BM. Which isn't bad.
