I have a feeling his success will be short lived and it won't be long before someone sues him for destroying their engine if they're all as bad as the last one I saw.
Amazed at how bad it was I shared it with 4 really well known pro mappers.
They were all as shocked as I was at the obvious basic lack of fundamental understanding of how the ecu works. No increased load scaling, way too much ignition forcing the ecu to correct for monumental amounts of det, lean mixture blah blah blah.
I'd be happy to post a log of it detting if anyone wants to see it ?
are we talking about andrew carr here?

I was just about to say that doesnt sound like Andrew, He knows his way around an ECU and has plenty of experience and understanding of how things work, Ive used/known him for a good 7 years.....and he only lives 15 mins away which is a bonus

Yes mate, he sorted out my tgv and fitted a new temp sensor and mapped the car - all part of the price.

Withing a week of buying the car i done the uncle scotties cocktail.

£80 worth ofmgear oil for the box and rear diff.

Made **** all difference lol

Martyn, i can do all the mechanicals and wire up switches etc if i knew where they go lol. So would only need the mapping side of it doing.

Do you chaps have a set price for mapping?

I used to work for fast ford mag, and as said on prevoius posts that i have been down to you guys and done rr days etc for the mag, so if you want to give me any discounts, im listening lol

I've never used him but doesn't he do mapping for API? Why would API endorse him if he is so bad?
I'm sure he'll reply himself seeing as he has already posted on this thread.

Great, I'll look forward to him explaining why he never increased the load scale on a 2005 WRX fitted with a VF34; running 1.4 bar boost as both myself and the others that have seen the map can't think of any other reason than not knowing you'd have to ?

The same Francis that said leave mappers to charge what they like ?
Seeing as he was so quick to dismiss my comments and lack of knowledge I think it's only fair he's as quick to post up and explain why his mapping is considered by other professionals as ***t ( not my words , words of professional mappers )
It seems to me as this is a classic case of man with tactrix will travel ( and charge )
You pays your money , you takes your choice

There was a post regarding the fact that he was "cheap". I personally dont think that £395 + VAT and possible travel expenses is classed as cheap for an "open source map".

Andrew Carr will do £350 for SD Conversion, custom remap, 2 maps for high/low boost, single switch. And has a far better reputation. Im not taking a swipe at Francis purely because i dont know the ins and outs.

Other mappers with just as god rep are available, i was just using Andrew as an example

It's not just the cost that's the issue here ( although that does get my back up )
It's the quality as well , which is very important

Yes....I'm cheaper than a rebuild, and I'll be down again very soon. More customers cast offs to catalogue and be truly amazed by!!

Offering free Dyno runs just to see what's playing on the jukebox....And a free remap afterwards...FPMSL!!

That very same customer who took advantage of said free dyno runs wasn't very happy after having his wishes for his ECU not to be touched, completely ignored. But then this is something both the customer and I discussed beforehand and knew was on the cards so you got your wish

However, he seemed to really like the results on a certain South West tuners rollers (which he paid for) on Saturday. The tuner was very complimentary about the results and didn't feel the need to rape the customer's ECU just to see what was on it, nor to slag off anyone's tuning in the process, but then some people are so feckin predictable, unprofessional and arrogant it makes it far too easy to give them something to get their hooks into and bring out their true colours.

Keep it up.....

P.S. I was doing fine, and now i'm doing even better. Thanks for asking.

Francis I'm sorry to burst your bubble but due to information I've received I cannot take you and your mapping seriously , folks think your a **** and work is poor ( not my comments btw )
I'm sure someone's gonna pop on here pretty soon and say enoughs enough and expose you
