For me its more of a "cause i can" rather than an actual useful tool for me. TBH, ive only had it on for 2 months and an opportunity for me to test it out hasnt arisen yet.

To the OP, yes you can run it, yes you need to remove the TGV's first and install switches to enjoy all of the features.

The fact is its been used since Jason started development in US by people who were passionate about the mapping and willing to use other softs too. Where advertised tuners were snagging it. But now they see its an extra oportunity so its all fine... there couple threads on here where its all about ecutek and its race rom , but whats funny that carberry is just as good with the same features. Oh well , whatever suits you really. ..

If you don't run rotational idle and leave the throttle as factory you don't get any brake issues running antilag just huge pops and bangs accompanied by 6ft flames. Ok, so you're not running ALS proper but lets face it do you really want to break your car?

I already have lol.

Noticed the odd couple of puffs of white smoke in the last couple of days.
Met a chap off here yesterday and bought a decat uppipe, now looking at the kinugawa TD05 20G for 350-400bhp

Also got loud whining in the gearbox, so may aswell break that first before i stick another in/ rebuild it....

S bugger it, if it needs a turbo, ill do it once and get it a bit lively lol

Phew Was gonna say , white puffs points more to hg than turbo
That said , the weather is cooling a little in the morning so it could be condensation , if its on start up and the first few minits of running ,especially if your running an after market exhaust

It has the ppp exhaust, and thinking about it i cleaned the car last sunday and jet washed the tailpipe while not watching what i was doing, but surly after a week there wuld be no water in there?

I first noticed 2 little puffs thursday morning while reversing off the drive car did have condensation on it.

And im sure yesterday after driving about 15 miles i had the car idling while waiting to meet matey for the uppipe and blipped the throttle a few times while stood outside the car and seen another little puff. Then drove home 25 miles and on the drive tried again but no smoke....

Ill be breaking the car if its the hg!

Yeah that's my philosophy , then it's pretty conclusive
I was told mine was gonna be doa , but over a year and over 10k miles later it was still alive , and that car was probably the most abused Scooby on here

Most folk on here panic if the washer fluid gets low

It does seem a good bit of kit mate.

Mine is standard internals so cant really go over 350 but ill push for closer to 400 lol.

For what i use the car for that will be more than enough. I was thinking about a TD05 20G as that power range is doable. I should never have sold my old mar-m 247 shaft T34 .63
That would have taken ALS with no bother lol

Ill keep driving the 300 and see if it really is broken lol. The gearbox whines in first and second, so with a massive power and torque hike it will soon die i expect.
But it sounds like bearings to me as it does not crunch, goes into gear easily and seems to go ok when your on it. But it whines worse than the missus lol

As said, ill keep colecting parts, and if it does fail big time it wont be finacially viable to rebuild everything, so ill break it and try and get another...

well im running an sti8 engine (meant to be the strongest engine made by subaru) and a 5 speed from a version 6 sti that was rebuilt by api to standard spec 4-5 years ago,it came from a car running 380bhp and its a gem so i think i will be ok up to 400,if it dies i will 6-speed the mother-fukka

does anybody know if andy carr does all the wiring and fitting regarding moving the 02 sensor or will it have to be done prior to being mapped?

If you look on the team car website it says he will do all that bud.
Sounds like yours should be up to a bit of abuse lol.

Since thinking my gearbox is on its knees... I keep launching it trying to break it lol

I dont know why either as i cant really afford to fix it at the mo lol

5 speeds can be had for very little money,if its making a noise stick some shock-proof oil in it to see if that helps

Because they don't know what I know, he obviously talks a good map, shame he can't do one
I have a feeling his success will be short lived and it won't be long before someone sues him for destroying their engine if they're all as bad as the last one I saw.
Amazed at how bad it was I shared it with 4 really well known pro mappers.
They were all as shocked as I was at the obvious basic lack of fundamental understanding of how the ecu works. No increased load scaling, way too much ignition forcing the ecu to correct for monumental amounts of det, lean mixture blah blah blah.
I'd be happy to post a log of it detting if anyone wants to see it ?
