So you think we should ignore any sort of evidence and just rush in and start blowing stuff up and more than likely killing more civilians than the chemical weapons have??

We haven't got the best track record in these things now have we and the Americans seem to shoot their allies more than the enemy.

Then you have the threat from Russia and china are those to be ignored aswell??

I'm all for our country HELPING to get rid of the vile regime in Syria if it can be done without causing Armageddon.

There you go mate there's caring dazzaturbo

Unfortunately the "if I", "could have" or "should have" is the second thing on the "pisses me off" list.

You have as much ability to change your circumstances as anybody else does.

I know plenty of people who have gone through proper hardship and life altering situations to change their lives and circumstances for the better, whether that be in the UK or outside of it.

Life is utter **** (and none of us are immune from that) at times.... but it's what YOU make it and how you deal with it.

This country is not a "****hole"..... you try telling some of the poor sods in Syria that. In fact to suggest such a thing is verging on the point of being utterly bonkers - you must see that in reference to other situations.

The problem with the West is that we have become too fat, too lazy, too expectant and just plain arrogant. Many have problems with actually grasping reality from fiction and expect that the fiction is in fact real life and one such life "owed" to them by right.

Based on my personal experience it is much easier to moan, than it is to actively and proactively make changes yourself to negate the need to moan in the first place.
This has to be one of the best comments I have seen on this forum so far, very wise words!

I think when people say the country is a sh*thole etc etc is simply down to the fact government has got it all backwards, if I could move abroad and make a new life somewhere new without taking a massive gamble I would. It pis*es me off when I think I've worked hard since before I left school, never been out of work (builder) never had a single hand out, bought a house struggle to pay the mortgage some months due to work sometimes being quiet (but never missed a payment), yet there's scumbags firing kids out left right and centre and sitting on their ar*es getting everything paid for them.... I think this is why people dislike this country.

I live in a semi rural place and its really nice, plenty of places to get out and about etc loads of wildlife.... Unfortunately due to a total lack of repect its also full of horrible little thieving pri*ks who go out of their way to cause misery as they know very little if anything gets done about them.

The governments making cut backs everywhere and we've been in recession for what seems like 10 years so where's the cash going to come from to start dropping bombs from multi million pound planes?

Oh aye that will probably be the tax payer who is already stretched to pay his own way supporting all the scum we have in this country who haven't got the sense to think "hmm I have no job, I'm think as shi* but I don't want to work anyway so that's no problem, might aswell expand my family and let someone else pay for them"

Surely a good plan could be to let the politicians decide what they want to do then do the complete opposite, maybe then they would start making some sense?

I know nothing about politics and I'm kind of glad I don't as the little bits and pieces I see on the news after graft usually really annoys me lol

Worlasshasansti,
The Government "thing" is a very weak reason imo and is all too often used as the key driver to make quite destructive comments about our country. The way I see it is the Government is a (easy) target at times justified of course.

I may get as frustrated (putting it mildly) as the next person about some situations in the UK, but I don't let it be a reason to cause detriment to my life/situation or of others that are close to me. Which "I" take ultimate responsibility for..... not the Government. Perhaps this is a generation or even caveman view..... however, it's been one that has done me OK over the years.

I'm of the belief that I get out of life what I put in to it. I am no better than anyone else, but 100% believe in the fact that I can actively influence my life and others around me, both positively and of course negatively.

Life is full of risks and challenges and at times we all need to makes decisions on whether to "put up or shut up".

There are always choices in life. Some of those choices may mean extreme risk..... but we should be grateful that option of choice still remains. Life is one big risk, but I think for some there is a level of expectation of what life should provide as a matter of fact. That is where some of us are going wrong.

I've just seen the 10pm News which is reporting a fresh "conventional" (being reported as a Napalm type weapon) attack on a School in Syria. It takes a lot to make me feel physically sick, but watching the footage of screaming human beings with 50% of their skin hanging off.................. was simply horrific and I was close to gagging. For some human's in the modern world..... that is their reality. I'm grateful it isn't mine!

Dude I am man enough to admit that that was very well put.

And when put like that your probably right that this country ain't all that bad but I have to agree worlasshasansti aswell.

Anyway obviously more important things in the world than what I think about this place

I do agree agree with you however in this situation I personally believe we should stay out of it.

1 we can't afford it
2 potentially **** off china
3 potentially **** off Russia
4 we have given Muslim extremist enough excuses to attack our country
5 it would more than likely be another 15-20 year commitment

I really do feel for the Syrian people but we have to stay out of this and let the Americans and France take the lead.

It's not even down to the US or France, the Middle Eastern countries and the Arab League should take responsibility and do something for once.

I think it would be an improvement if the UN was to stop being such a shrinking violet and muster a multinational force to walk into Syria, capture Assad and send him to the Hague to be tried for his crime.
