Yeah pretty sure I have some pics and stuff to make it an easy job.
Only one or two sneaky little things to worry about, but if its a straight swap, shouldn't take too long tbh. Engine is only held in by 2 mounts and the gearbox, so between 6 and 10 fixings.

Yeah seen a few of this guys videos, he knows his schitt.

Cheers for the comments, its far too easy to pass off other peoples work as your own, or to throw money at a car and bask in the perceived "glory" having done nothing. But I love getting my hands dirty and sorting it myself, as there is a quiet kind of happiness you get from having done it yourself, and the knowledge you gain from doing it yourself.

My Scooby was bought as a project for £500 and if you have seen where it has come from its a long way, as I ALWAYS wanted an Impreza having sat in the forests in the rain with my brother, and heard this noise coming. Said to my brother that it didnt sound like a Escort, and asked what it was, he said sounds flat 4, but he wasn't sure. Then the Impreza flew past, and I said to myself there and then "I WANT ONE OF THOSE!!", and I bought a dead one, so I could learn the car. I said from day one I would be happy if I could just leave it outside my back door running, so I could hear it, as I loved the cars.
Anyone can buy any car they want, takes an idiot like me to buy a clapped out banger of a car and rebuilding it, and keeping it alive cos you love them.

Anyways heres my cars history thread from day one.

Well I can give a small update about my engine, having done 700+ miles.

There have been no major issues, other than my tubular manifolds cracking and becoming holed and needing replacement, and one water hose clip had come off.

But have built up to 10psi, and revs up to 5500rpm, and she runs sweet as a nut I am so happy. Get to 1000miles now and one last oil change and she is officially run in.

Cracking effort on the DIY rebuild, now you need to get into the diy mapping scene.

Thanks for that, much appreciated

I would LOVE to, but that may be a step further than I'm comfortable with, but saying that only one way to find out
