This weekend she is going in, just need to get some coolant and she is ready.
All that needs doing is fitting the front cam covers, tightening the crank pulley bolt.
I also may have a special silicone tube/hose coming for the turbo, but have to contact SFS tomorrow

Cheers buddy.
Yeah I have worked my *** off on it, and without a fair bit of help with questions, and hints tips, I would have been stuffed.
For example Graphogen Paste, I'd never heard of it or used it, having always used oil.
Made the world of difference having someone there that I could ask to double check (Dylan). I had done a LOT of research with regards to the ARP head studs and their correct torque settings, as most were in conflict. And the ARP conrod bolts torque settings etc, the list goes on. But did raise a few things that was unknown, and different. And even the ARP instructions are "wrong", and the Americans have done a lot of work in that area. To the water pump, they advise a certain type with the flat disk on the back (not opened vanes), as that disk type doesn't allow water to bypass the pump, apparently the open vane type does (who'd know??).
I just hope it works lol.

Cheers guys, was only when I took the fans off ready to be mounted on the ally rad that I noticed that they were rather rusty and grubby, the fanblades cleaned up nicely, and the shrouds had Halfords Enamel paint after a rub back with a flappy wheel on a grinder.
Only thing to let it down now will be my inlet manifold lol.

Well was getting everything ready last night and felt a bit off. Woke up this morning and I'm full of flu, so have stayed in bed feeling rougher than rough!!
But every cloud has a silver lining, in that I can't find my clutch pressure plate bolts, so would have been majorly pissed off had I gone to fit it.
So done some polishing instead as I'm feeling rough
And then these arrived, didn't think I'd EVER get these back. As they got broken when my car got sprayed, and they have been there ever since. So just gotta get them sanded back and then lacquered.

Mmm, SFS silicon pipes....... If your getting an intake pipe, make sure it's robust enough on the elbow. Mine didn't have enough S/S windings in so was collapsing under boost. They said they would send me out a replacement, which they didn't and then they didn't return my emails so I'm past the year mark.
I've learn't my lesson!

As for the SFS its the prefacelift 90 degree that goes onto the turbo, so as its so short it should be ok, but I'll keep an eye.
Samco won't sell the single pipe

A couple of hours when the weather breaks and you'll be motoring.

Shame about the hold ups and getting sick was a cruel twist but you'll get there mate. Engine looks sweet sitting there out the car. I'll keep checking back!

Weather is my only hold up now, I REALLY need a lockup or unit, as doing stuff outside in the rain is annoying. And tbh Id rather my Landy be finished before my Scooby, as it deserves it more lol.

Last couple of bits have come, so am ready for the install.
Now the only issue is this weather, but looking like Tuesday is the day.
But new turbo inlet pipe from SFS Hoses, nice quality bit of kit. Have gone for red as all my Silicone pipes are Blue and are Samco, so wanted to make a visual difference.
And this is what it is replacing.
Also during the rebuild process the main crank case ventilation pipe was broken similar to the pipe above, so replaced it with a 90 degree hose from Auto Silicon Hoses ASH from Ebay.
Now I'm hoping to have two more pipes replaced, they are the turbo water feed from the header tank, and the passenger side oil breather from the rocker cover.
