We're going to flirt with some big names IE Ronaldo, fabregas. Reality is we'll end up with Baines and Fellaini

If we are lucky.

I hope Ronnie was insensed enough by Maureen's comments to come back to the prem to continue rubbing his face in it, very unlikely though.

Only possibility is Baines. I don't think we'll get anyone else.

A good new signing isn't not looking that good with a week until the season commences again.

On a plus note though, at least we finally got goal line technology.

Yeah, some good spells. Clean sheet and all but the oppositions shouldn't of troubled us anyway.

A good result but our goal threat seemed weak . . . Lets hope VP stays fit. We need more goals from midfield IMO.

It's hardly surprising RvP was our only real threat with Welbeck on the pitch. Zaha looked comfortable on the ball so hopefully it won't be too long before he's a more consistent threat. I'm not sure where goals from midfield would actually come from at the moment though.

On the plus side, Moyes has already won more trophies than Brendan Rodgers has at Liverpool and Arsene Wenger has in the last 8 years... and the season hasn't even started yet.

Agreed, we have needed a midfield threat for ages, there was alway only so long schooled could hang on. I'd love to see Rooney drop back into that position, with his touch and vision not to mention the goals he can score I feel it's a role that's perfect for him.

I wish Cleverley would be a bit more aggressive in this sense, he has a sweet right foot and could play in the hole. Fabregas would have been ideal. Fellaini would do a good job though . . .

Congrats to Moyes on his first piece of silverware as a manager.

Hopefully next he can beat a top club for the first time too.

I United played fairly well after they got over the nervous start.
Real test of how they're performing will be today week.

Mmmmmmmmm

That game against Chelsea wasn't terribly exciting.
I see Mourinho has issues an ultimatum to Rooney

Unimpressed with cfc, parking the bus !! Glad he didnt get the united job.

So how does Jose get to give a player under contract to another club an ultimatum, have the rules of approach changed in recent years, surely that's blatant tapping up ?

So Baines - never seen him play! Can't figure out why Utd would want him when Evra is still class???

Agreed there isn't much in it between the two imo either.

I bet Evra is hoping Utd dont get him this late in the day, wont help him find a club will it.

I still prefer Evra if I'm honest.

Baines is younger though so looking to the future.
