RETURN OF THE JEDI
Well my replacement Odyssey battery has turned up today which I am glad about as it had to be imported in from the USA
It is the MJ version so should fair better in my engine bay as it is designed to take motorsport engine heat and use, because of the integrated metal jacket thus named the MJ series Odyssey batteries it also comes with fitted Gold terminals as standard
so for future reference if anyone is thinking of purchasing a light weight battery if it has BLACK sides it is designed for in car, boot etc...instalment or RED for engine placement.SJ.

No problem mate,£135 from demon tweeks, but they don't list the MJ SERIES only the interior model one so it's best to phone and specifically ask for the metal jacket version if you want it in the engine bay if not the PC925 Odyssey will be fine if getting it fitted in the car under seat or boot etc....SJ.
It can work but I would advise some kind of heat insulation around the battery:http://www.advantage-motorsport.co.u...FZShtAod8hIABA,as Subaru engine temps will soon degrade it.SJ.
Nothing much to add of late, still waiting on parts from japan to finalise my build AVCS oil feed pipes and metal water pipes etc...
.Also after fitting my new tyres me and Neil came to the conclusion that there was not adequate room for tyre clearance so I have booked in with archenemy for this Wednesday to get it sorted pictures to follow after the arch rolling session

For once things went as planned with no hiccups,Phil from archenemy came down to Neil's after getting abit lost(satnav needs updating I think
)To roll my arches.I also got him to do my wife's car at the same time for a group buy price
I was abit concerned about getting them done at first though as the disclaimer you have to sign before the work has commenced is a complete get out of jail card
but I needn't have worried as phil's workmanship is top draw and I would recommend his services to anyone(The cheque better be in the post
)On a serious note I was very happy with how the arches turned out and he took complete care while setting about the job, arches were sealed and arch liners trimmed where required (my wife's car) so if you are thinking about fitting wider wheels or your car body is scrubbing the tyres I would recommend you getting in contact with philhttp://www.archenemy.co.ukand getting it done

I am running 9.5 et 38 rotas and no scrubbing after the rolling which is good

It took him about 30 mins each arch the backs maybe abit longer, but that's jacking the car up taking off the wheel, setting up his rolling equipment, heating up the panel and then the actual rolling of the arch sealing the panel and putting the wheel back on,which I thought was quite good really,he managed to do three cars at Slowboys when I was there. The good thing is he managed to do my wife's classic Impreza with no paint cracking and was impressed how my wife's car did not have any rust which is the worst thing to deal with when rolling arches according to Phil as they can just fall apart.SJ.
Yeah I imagine that conversation wont be a fun one when you have been paid to roll the arch and the next thing there is gaping hole in their seemingly "immaculate" car lol!
Thats pretty good going really, ive got the tool and will be giving it a go on mine soon

so just make sure that you give your arches a thorough going over before you commence with the rolling.SJ.
I've never really been into wide wheels I bought a set of Grid drifts and sold them before I even fitted them to Anger.I just rolled my arch's because the 235 rubber was looking mighty close,so just got them done as a safety precaution, but you never know,in the future my mind my change

Yeah I hear yah mate.I don't mind lowered cars I love the look
,but my preference will always be that my suspension can travel if I hit a bump in the road and do the job that they were made to do,instead of them bottoming out and bouncing the car all over the place because of being lowered to much. But they do look good when done right

Thanks Craig
,it feels slow sometimes but a lot of it is down to waiting for parts and as there coming from the land of the rising sun it can take a good few months just for a metal water pipe to arrive, but the plan that me and Neil had from the start was to make it as perfect and original as possible with a lot of bespoke and rare parts that work
,I even had to get the Cosworth sump modified as the manifold was fouling on it
.Hopefully a big update coming soon
