My 2p's worth.
Hi all, not trying to high jack the thread- and if you think I should start a new one pls say.
I have today just had my Kinugawa TD05H 20g (Twin Scroll) installed on my 04 STI.
As some have said before the look and feel/quality of the turbo on arrival were very good. Packaged very very well, with a complete install kit consisting of studs, bolts, braided oil line, new water pipes, all banjo bolts and washers, both gaskets and pipe. Obviously the proof is in the power after mapping and just as importantly longevity of life.
I will be speaking to Duncan tomorrow and sorting out a mapping session with him asap.
I had additional options of the Billet 10 blade compressor wheel, and the 9 blade turbine wheel (same as the Kamak STS) for faster spool. Only difference between my Kinugawa and the Kamak spec turbo is the thrust bearing from what I can see.
Will put up some dyno graphs as soon as it's all mapped up and ready to roll.. Can't wait!
Forgot to say that Bruce at Kinugawa- Amazing customer service- answering emails with sound info, quickly at about 2am there time! That's dedication. From order/payment day to delivery day was about 7 working days (including 2 days in uk customs etc).

i dropped the car in today to get the turbo fitted, wont get it mapped properly until i get a proper set of injectors, i think the spare lateral performance ones i have now are too big, ill get them flow tested to see what they are currently at.

Can you not have the injector duty changed to suit within the map?

Well that was short lived. Weld joints/flanges on my headers are fubarred so no point in swapping the turbo until that is sorted, i wanted to get the headers and up pipe heatwrapped, so looks like a new set of GT spec headers and up pipe is on the cards now, dont want to take a chance with a used set again.

The story continues my 3p.
Hi all, just a quick update.
TD05 20G STS is fitted and was mapped a few weeks ago. Still had Subaru Cat in place with standard downpipe and center etc. It hit 340bhp at about 0.7bar boost down at SRR. Was lovely from about 4500rpm all the way to redline pulling like a train- so good on motorway or fast A road etc. But felt laggy for everyday driving. So I spoke to Duncan, a Decat was in order to get boost in earlier and free up more power. So I went down to Hayward and Scott in Essex last week. I got a 3" down to 2.5" decat pipe fitted. Ian down at Hayward & Scott is brilliant! He fab'd the pipe on the day (I only spoke to him in the morning to say I would like one). I got there at about 3:40pm and was out by 4:30pm With the pipe fitted! Amazing service!
Driving back pretty gently I could feel some difference with better lower end pull... Hoping to get back to SRR this wk or next for another mapping session and a possible 3port depending on what happens. The story continues....

Mine is going in tomorrow along with a new up-pipe and headers. Hopefully have it back by Friday, but it will be another while before i get it mapped properly as im waiting on a new TMIC to turn up and also need to find someone else to dyno map it over here.
