well im going on EXPERIENCE having regular use of both a newage wrx and sti not what ive read on the internet
the sti is far faster in my experience, maybe on paper it is slightly slower to 60 but try achieving that time on the road.
a few launches and the 5 speed would be dead anyway
I think you will find it's the TY52 classic boxes that suffer the most with failures, not the TY54 thats in the newage.
I have had scoobs for over 8yrs and been on here since 04 when i bought my first WRX new, so please don't try and discredit my knowledge.
I also have a proper point to point scooby, (STI Type r) tucked up in the garage.
Page 2 of the thread, helps if you read everything in the thread before comenting.
As for tubbs attempt to discredit the figures, more clutching at straws.
im not discrediting, you get different figures from everywhere on the net, maybe they are correct.
but IN MY OPINION the sti is a far superior car on the roads, be it a or b.
and this opinion was formed by driving them and not something read on a forum(not directed at you by the way).
try replacing the front of a crashed bugeye, apart from having to look at its nasty face, its a pain in the *** when the panels are all bent to buggery
as i can see your trying to initiate an arguement yes cosmetics.
a front end REBUILD due to several crashes.
There is no argument, just starting to understand why you've had a chip on your shoulder about WRX's all this time. Might be worth selling up and getting one as your track car.
The whole my STI is better than your WRX is a bit like saying my girlfriend is better looking than yours! Strip them down and they are not that different ; )
STI owners like their cars and WRX owners like theirs simple.
When I got my WRX PPP is was based primarily on two simple points (1) it was some £2k cheaper than a 'standard' STI of the same age and mileage and give or take just as fast and (2) it didn't have the chavvy STI wing on the boot and the girly pink badges...
The £2k that I saved bought a cheap run around and a nice holiday. I've never looked back!!

I thought you were taking a side swipe at kwiks rebuild thread, which was what made me cry.
