I'm not sure he did have a warranty but I think its run out.
He's decided to keep it now so hopefully he gets it sorted I do love m mode I'm pleased in a way because that's my bloody wedding car haha

its had brakes its well looked after but the problem now is missfire cylinder 1 hes been told it could be a vanos pump or vanos units theres 2 on a m5

in dollars
vanos pump 2,600 +vat
vanos inlet 2.400 +vat
vanos exh 2.400 + vat

and then there not sure it will fix it as hes already chucked 1.500 on bits that havent cured it

A Friend stripped and resealed his E46 Vanos with a kit from America- Maybe take car away from main dealers(fitters) and find an actual Mechanic who fixes... not just replaces?

I agree with you it is an m car it needs an m person sort of thing

A years approved warranty, 510bhp and far more class than either BMW, Mercedes or Audi. Not sure what reliability is like but the Germans arent exactly great.
