Are the options based souly on re-finishing the stock wheels or are you thinking new rims if you go darker? (might have to sell your Mrs' camera for that route! ).

Personally I don't like the gold on cyrstal grey cars. Mine had a set of gold ones and i felt they just clashed with the car so i swapped them out for OEM silver.

IMO gun metal grey on stock rims would look really good... they look good in black too like DPN's(?) behind Warren's here:

Of course if new wheels are the option then we can have lots more fun with opinions on them

S204 look with 18" BBS maybe.... although you'd need to change the rear wing again to pull that off.

My hair started falling out first actually

Seriously tho I agree it is a tricky one. What about a dark silver with black or grey on the inside edge of the spokes? Something a little unique and given your facilities doable?

Did a Photoshop file when waiting for the engine repair last year... thought it might help.

Pink... perfect!

On a serious note...

Silver black... doesn't really work on this pic but not easy on PS to be honest and might look good in reality.

Rota style Bronze maybe?

good day today

i started sanding my wheels yesterday dinner, on my car

so decided today to whip them off and get cracking,

here they are

IMG_3526 | Flickr - Photo Sharing! IMG_3526 | Flickr - Photo Sharing! by cuprajake1, on Flickr

IMG_3523 | Flickr - Photo Sharing! IMG_3523 | Flickr - Photo Sharing! by cuprajake1, on Flickr

IMG_3528 | Flickr - Photo Sharing! IMG_3528 | Flickr - Photo Sharing! by cuprajake1, on Flickr

there a derivitive of the nissan gtr r35 wheel colour with added xirrilic pearl should sparkle pretty well in the sun

also my fog covers came in which you can see above too.

while the wheels were off i inspected the pads, fronts were pretty stuffed so got a set of mintex 1144 in there as a good friend rate

Looks great Jake. I bet the camera doesn't do the detail in the colour justice either.

Whats next?

Made a start on the buttons today.

Remove the buttons, make sure you note the order the fit in.

You take the button apart by undoing clips either side, when you do thus it will spring open. Don't worry it goes back together.

The bit were intrested in is the front cap, it has a green gel on the back

You need to pop it out with a little pressure, then using a cotton bud and nail varnish remover slowly go at the back till the greens gone.

It's now clear

Now for the red. You can solder red led in. You can buy silicone caps or red bulbs, I got the sweets out.

Strawberry quality street.

Use the wrapper and cut to size you need two layers of it super glued to the back, then you glue the cap back into the button and re assemble.

Back in the dash

And at night

Sadly my bulbs for the other switches are popped so need two new bulbs but you get the idea,

Next is the clock, hvac, *** lighter and ignition ring.

I like the idea of the quality street wrapper. Looks miles better in red, lets face it the colours across the whole dash on the hawkeye are abit of everything...

That's why I've started.

Awsome red dials, green heater, switches, and clock the the brightest blue headunit you could find.

The pioneer will go eventually as I'm starting to get the 80 error with it.

Ill also be converting the drivers window switch to red and fully illuminated.

Clock done today.

Remove the clock and split. Then use same method as above with strawberry quality street.

The result.

I also snipped the dimming wire to it.

Then my next big thing was replacing the factory blue pioneer.

I wanted a unit with rear iPod input. Not as easy to find as you'd think now a days.

Then I found this,

iPod/iPhone control, dab, red display and Bluetooth.

All for £69.99

Ill fit it tomorrow.
